Technology Instruction

The Lighthouse provides demonstrations for people who are blind or visually impaired in utilizing the latest adaptive technology to access and organize information, communicate with others, keep up in today’s “high-tech” world and succeed in more fields than ever before at school or work. At the Technology Training Center, we have on hand a wide range of software and equipment, including screen readers, magnification programs, electronic braille printers and portable note-taking devices that combine type, braille and speech. Our technology specialists provide hands-on demonstrations along with instruction in the use of a variety of assistive technology products and software.
